Tamil Nadu's coastline is vast, covering over 1000 kms.It is home to some of the prettiest beaches in the Coast of Coromandel. Pondicherry is India's little France. It is one of the most liveliest beach tourist destinations of India. Auroville - “Mother's ashram”, also provides the fine balance between worldliness and spirituality, something that Tamil Nadu seems to reek from every pore. Tamil Nadu has the Blue Mountains or the Nilgiris. Ooty or ootacamund, an old British settlement, is now one of India's most popular hill-stations. Clouds, mist and tea estates span the scenic horizon of Ooty and Coonoor. KodaiKanal, another very pictureque hillstation, goes by the sobriquet of the “Princess of Hill stations”.  The mudumalai and anaimalai forests are the wildlife hot spots of the state. They are home to sandalwood and form a part of the elephant corridor of the south.

If you are a glutton, come home to Tamil Nadu. This is also called “the vegetarian paradise”. The thought of Tamil Nadu, conjures up the sight of Idlis, spicy pongal and a million other rice-delights. The Karaikudi and Chettinad food is famous for its non-vegetarian fare.

You cannot miss shopping for the beautiful Silk Sarees, popular world over for their quality and designs. A Kanchivaram saree is a must-take-home souvenir.  The still thriving art form of Tanjore painting makes it an exclusive, yet intricate art. Don’t forget to add that to your collection of memorabilia!

Tamil Nadu caters equally to one's mind, body, stomach and soul. It is a hallmark experience, one that will leave you replenished, rejuvenated and at peace.
